Tropical Flowering Tree Society. When: 7:30 p.m. Where: Garden House, Fairchild Tropical Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd. Speaker: Luc Vannoorbeeck, Florida Colors Nursery, ``Plumerias of Hawaii.''

South Florida Fern Society. When: 8 p.m. Where: Corbin Building, Fairchild Tropical Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd. Program: Joyce Kelly will present products that are designed to help grow and maintain ferns. Members will discuss how to groom ferns for the fern show June 8-9 at the garden.

Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society. When: 7:30 p.m. Where: Christ Lutheran Church, 1955 E. Oakland Park Blvd. Program: Jose Exposito of Soroa Orchids, Miami, will discuss phalaenopsis.

TUESDAY

Rare Fruit Council International. When: 7:30 p.m. Where: Museum of Science, 3280 S. Miami Ave., Miami. Speaker: Chris Rollins, director, Fruit and Spice Park, on ``Transplanting Mature Tropical Fruit Trees.''

Gold Coast Orchid Society. When: 7:30 p.m. Where: Sen. Gwen Margolis Community Center, 1590 NE 123rd St., North Miami. Speaker: Eric Christenson, research associate with the New York Botanical Garden, on ``The Orchids of Peru.''

Florida Native Plant Society, Broward chapter. When: 7:30 p.m. Where: Secret Woods Nature Center, 2701 State Road 84. Speaker: Frank Zikar, assistant planner for Coral Springs, will discuss landscape codes.

WEDNESDAY

South Florida Orchid Society. When: 8 p.m. Where: Polish American Club, 1250 NW 22nd Ave., Miami. Speaker: Alan Koch, Gold Country Orchid, Lincoln, Calif., on ``Orchid Trends in California.'' He will also hold a class on culture at 7:30 p.m.
