Columbia/HCA names Dade chief

Carolyn Brand of South Miami has been chosen South Miami Hospital's April Employee of the Month. Brand is a unit clerk in the Endoscopy Department and has been with the hospital for 20 years.

Jose A. Calvo has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Orange Bowl Committee. Calvo, a Coral Gables resident, is president of Angel-Buick Oldsmobile.

Denni Eisen of Miami has been appointed the South Florida representative for the Pine Forest, Lake Owego and Timber Tops summer camps in the Pocono Mountains.

Karen J. Jones of South Dade has been appointed assistant property manager of One Brickell Square. Jones, who lives in South Dade, is responsible for all accounts receivable, lease administration, monthly reports, maintenance of the building management system and assisting in the budget process.

Richard Krinzman has been elected secretary of the South Florida Regional Planning Council. He was appointed for his third two-year term by Gov. Lawton Chiles. Krinzman, of Kendall, is a director in the law firm Holzman, Krinzman, Equels & Furia.

Linda S. Lubitz is co-author of Investment Policy Statement Guidebook, a guide to creating and managing an investment plan. Lubitz is co-founder of the financial advisory firm Woolf and Lubitz and lives in the Pinecrest area.

Kathy Mitseas has received the Service Excellence Employee of the Month Award at Coral Gables Hospital. Mitseas is a critical care clinical manager at the hospital. The Southwood area resident will receive $50.

Robert G. Orban has been named a commercial associate for Wood-Fay Realty Group. Orban lives in Kendall and has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience.

Diane C. Smallen-Grob has joined the Miami-based public relations firm Rubin Barney & Birger as executive vice president and managing director of Latin America. Smallen-Grob, of Key Biscayne, oversees the development and management of Latin American programs.

Kimarie R. Stratos of Miami has been appointed ``of counsel'' to the law firm of Zack, Sparber, Kosnitzky, Spratt & Brooks. Stratos has experience in sports and entertainment law, health care law and corporate litigation.

Kerdyk Real Estate in Coral Gables has been named the 1996 Small Business of the Year by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Small Business Impact Council. Approximately 15 companies were nominated for the award.
