Truck spotted when dog disappears

Someone stole a dog a from a home in the 100 block of East 14th Street at 6 a.m. Wednesday. The owners saw a green truck leaving the area at around the same time the dog disappeared from its pen.


HIALEAH

SOMEONE TOOK a wallet from a car parked in the 1700 block of West 58th Street on May 5 between 1 and 9 a.m. The wallet, which was on the front seat of the car, had $280 cash and a $420 check.
A BURGLAR broke into a construction site in the 3300 block of West 80th Street between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The burglar entered the construction trailer with a crowbar and took $500 worth of tools, a $400 fax and two portable radios worth $100.

SOMEONE BURGLARIZED the Santa Clara convenience store, 92 E Eighth St., between 10:25 and 10:35 p.m. Wednesday. The burglar used a crowbar to smash the glass on the rear door. The suspect took four cases of lobsters, 10 cases of shrimp and five cases of fish. The food was valued at $800.

A THIEF took $2,200 cash from a car parked in the 200 block of West 57th Street at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The thief broke the driver's side window and took the victim's purse, which contained money and credit cards.


HIALEAH GARDENS

A THIEF BROKE the passenger window of a 1988 Jeep Cherokee at about 10 p.m. April 5 at a home in the 9000 block of 120th Terrace. A purse with $30 cash was taken.
SOMEONE ENTERED a home between 7 and 11 p.m. April 30 at the 9000 block of Northwest 111th Terrace. The thief stole $1,400 cash from a bedroom dresser.
A THIEF BROKE INTO a 1993 Ford F350 truck at about 5:30 p.m. April 6 that was parked in front of a home in the 7000 block of Northwest 103rd Street. A $200 Motorola cellular phone was stolen.
SOMEONE STOLE a 1989 Ford Mustang at about 11:40 p.m. April 7 from the parking lot at Grand Vista Apartments, 8851 NW 119th St.



MIAMI SPRINGS

SOMEONE BROKE the rear vent window of 1995 Chevy New Yorker at the Days Inn, 3401 NW 42nd Ave. between 10 p.m. April 6 and 4:45 a.m. April 7. Nothing was taken. Damage estimate is $200.

A THIEF STOLE a white 1988 Nissan Sentra from a home in the 600 block of South Royal Poinciana Boulevard on April 6 between 1:30 and 5 p.m.

SOMEONE STOLE a red 1990 Honda Civic from Oakwood and Sheridan drives between 7 a.m. and noon April 6.

SOMEONE BROKE the right front window of a 1993 black Lexus ES300 that was parked at the Comfort Inn, 5301 NW 36th St. The thief struck between 7 and 8 a.m. April 6 and took $10.


VIRGINIA GARDENS

A LIT CIGARETTE left on a couch started a fire at a home in the 3800 block of Northwest 65th Avenue between 6:25 and 7:27 p.m. April 28. The fire was put out before it spread throughout the house.
A $250 BIKE was stolen from a home in the 6200 block of Northwest 40th Street between 10 p.m. April 30 and 7 a.m. May 1.


MEDLEY

A BURGLAR STOLE a Huffy bicycle from the yard of a home in the 8100 block of Northwest South River Drive, between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday. The bicycle was valued at $150.

A THIEF LIFTED the cab of a 1989 Isuzu truck parked at Universal Vinyl Corp., 9200 NW 102nd St. between 6 p.m. May 3 and 5:50 a.m. Monday. The thief took $2,000 worth of engine parts.


DORAL/WEST DADE

A BURGLAR SMASHED a window of a 1988 Toyota Corolla parked at La Covacha, 10730 NW 25th St., between 7 and 8:20 p.m. Monday and stole a $400 Motorola cellular phone.

TWO BURGLARS stole a Mexican passport, a credit card and a $20 silver pen at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday from a 1976 Ford van parked at International Airport Center, 2930 NW 72nd Ave. The van's owner saw the men, yelled at them and then watched them drive away in a light green Dodge pick-up.

NORTHWEST DADE

A BURGLAR STOLE the license plate from a 1986 Mazda RX7 parked at a home in the 18700 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 10 p.m. Wednesday.
SOMEONE STOLE a $400 Motorola cellular phone from a home in the 17900 block of Northwest 68th Avenue at 2 p.m. Wednesday.



OPA-LOCKA

ABOUT $60 IN CANDY AND CHIPS were stolen from a home in the 13100 block of Aswan Road sometime April 27. The intruders got in through a kitchen window.


THE LICENSE PLATE from a 1987 Nissan was stolen while it was parked at Adesa South Florida, 12700 NW 42nd Ave., between 4 and 4:40 p.m. April 24.


SOMEONE asked for a bottle of whiskey at Valentines, 1380 Superior St., at 9:15 a.m. April 25. The robber then jumped over the counter, pointed a gun at the cashier's face and demanded cash. The robber took $200 and fled.

A MAN was standing in the 300 block of Opa-locka Boulevard when a woman approached and demanded his money. He did not resist and the woman fled with $240 cash.

NORTH CENTRAL DADE

A BURGLAR BROKE a window of a home in the 1700 block of Northwest 59th Street between 9 p.m. May 3 and 12:16 p.m. May 5 and stole a $75 pair of Fila sneakers and $200 worth of clothes.

A BURGLAR BROKE the rear window of a home in the 2000 block of Northwest 87th Street at 1 a.m. Saturday and stole $80 and several money orders totaling $185 from a purse in the home's living room. A BURGLAR PRIED the rear door of a home in the 1300 block of Northwest 86th Street between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 3 and stole a $200 bicycle and a $150 chain saw.

A BURGLAR STOLE a handicapped parking permit from an unlocked 1989 Lincoln parked at a home in the 2400 block of Northwest 80th Street between 6 and 10 a.m. Sunday.

A BURGLAR STOLE a mountain bicycle from the front yard of a home in the 3200 block of Northwest 46th Street between 2 and 7 a.m. May 4. The bicycle was valued at $250.


MIAMI

THIEVES STOLE a $10,000 1993 Honda Civic parked in the 1900 block of Northwest 32nd Avenue between 10 p.m. May 4 and 11:20 a.m. May 5.

A MAN AND A WOMAN in a parked car at Northwest Third Court and Eighth Street were assaulted by a 17-year-old boy who opened their car door, reached inside and stole a bag containing $1,000. The victims were tourists from France.
