Burglars spotted: A woman who lives on the 5100 block of Southwest 93rd Avenue told police she saw two youths take a bicycle out of her neighbors' carport.

The woman said the incident, which happened at 8:36 a.m. on May 2, happened so fast that it was hard for her to get a good look at the suspects, whom she said were wearing backpacks and appeared to be between 14 and 16 years old.

When police contacted the woman's neighbor, she confirmed that a girl's purple bicycle, worth $100, was missing from her unlocked carport.

Cell phone snatched: Someone stole a cell phone from a man's gym bag while he played softball at Brian Piccolo Park, 9501 Sheridan St. The man's black gym bag was in the dugout between noon and 2 p.m. April 28. The cell phone was worth $250.

Brake light stolen: Someone broke the left rear tail light of a car and then stole the brake light bulb, doing about $250 in damage. The incident happened between 2:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. April 28, while the 1996 Volvo was parked on the 4900 block of Southwest 89th Avenue.

DAVIE

Speakers stolen: A thief broke into a 1988 Mazda pickup parked at Costco, 1890 S. University Dr., between 3 and 8 p.m. April 30 and stole speakers valued at $140, a cellular phone valued at $250 and a wallet containing $250.

Briefcase stolen: A thief stole a briefcase from a 1987 Dodge truck parked at Wet Goods Bar, 5983 S. University Dr., between 6 p.m. April 26 and 11:40 a.m. April 27.

Laser printer stolen: A thief broke the lock of Recording Media & Equipment, 3600 SW 50th Ave., between 1 and 2 p.m. April 28 and stole a laser printer valued at $1,500.

PEMBROKE PINES

Home burglary: A burglar pried open a sliding glass door and stole electronics and firearms from a home in the 18000 block of Northwest 18th Street between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 2. The stolen goods were valued at $900.

Appliances stolen: Police arrested three men on theft charges after stopping a truck loaded with stolen appliances, police said. Officers stopped the driver of a truck about 2:30 a.m. May 3 in the 2300 block of Northwest 184th Terrace. The truck was loaded with two refrigerators and a dishwasher. The same truck was seen empty a short time earlier. The driver and two passengers were arrested after officers determined the items were stolen from homes under construction in Keystone Lakes. A stove was stolen from a house under construction in the same complex May 2, police said.
PLANTATION

Gas stolen: A thief stole $8.13 in gas from the Amoco station, 9797 W. Broward Blvd., between 9 and 11 p.m. May 4.

Home burglarized: A thief broke into a home in the 7500 block of Northwest Fifth Street between noon and 3 p.m. May 2 and stole a phone, valued at $60, and a VCR, valued at $150.

Attempted break in: A vandal broke the lock on the sliding glass door of a home in the 11800 block of Northwest 27th Street sometime between April 25 and May 6. Residents were on vacation when the incident occurred. Nothing was reported stolen.

SUNRISE

Purse stolen: A thief stole a purse, containing items valued at $400, from a table at the food court at Sawgrass Mills mall, 12801 W. Sunrise Blvd., between 3 and 5 p.m. May 5.

Earrings stolen: Someone broke into a home in the 5000 block of Northwest 15th Street between 6 a.m. April 29 and 10 a.m. May 5. The burglar stole earrings valued at $200 and a watch valued at $90.

Car vandalized: A vandal slashed two rear tires of a 1994 Toyota pickup truck parked at Sawgrass Mills mall, 12801 W. Sunrise Blvd., between 4 and 6 p.m. May 5.

WESTON/BONAVENTURE

Cellular phone stolen: A thief broke into an unlocked 1996 Chrysler Sebring parked in front of a home in the 2600 block of Cypress Lane between noon May 3 and 6 p.m. May 4 and stole a $100 cellular phone.

CD player stolen: A thief broke into a Mazda RX7, parked in front of a home in the 1600 block of Eastlake Way between 10 a.m. April 23 and 7 p.m. April 30 and stole a CD player valued at $300.
