COOPER CITY

Purse stolen: A purse was taken from a car while its owner was celebrating Founder's Day at Brian Piccolo Park, 9501 Sheridan St., on April 27.

The leather purse, which contained a checkbook, three credit cards and a small amount of cash, was stolen from the parking lot between 1 and 2:30 p.m. The owner believes she might have left the 1993 Dodge Caravan's passenger-side sliding glass window open.

Convertible top gone: Someone cut the top off a convertible and stole property valued at more than $300.

The 1994 Mazda was parked in the 5000 block of Southwest 90th Avenue between 12:30 and 1:45 p.m. The thief took a briefcase, cash, CDs and tapes valued at $100.

Windshield smashed: Someone used a cement lawn ornament to smash the windshield of a 1992 Nissan Pathfinder between 6 p.m. April 26 and 12:50 a.m. April 27.

Damage to the vehicle, which was parked in the 4900 block of Southwest 95th Avenue, was estimated at $150.

Spare tire stolen: A spare tire bolted to the underside of a truck was stolen sometime between 10 p.m. April 30 and 7 a.m. May 1. The $400 Firestone tire was taken while the truck was parked in the 5700 block of Southwest 87th Avenue.
DAVIE

Tools stolen: A thief broke into a 1993 Dodge Caravan parked at a home in the 5400 block of Southwest 42nd Street between 8 a.m. April 21 and 11:30 a.m. April 28 and stole a tool kit valued at $450.

Fishing equipment stolen: A thief broke into a 1980 Chevrolet Suburban parked in front of a home in the 3000 block of Southwest Burris Road between 10 a.m. April 14 and 10 a.m. April 28 and stole fishing poles valued at $600 and a tackle box valued at $200.

Business vandalized: A vandal broke into John's Patio Stones and Sod, 5700 Griffin Rd., between 9:30 a.m. April 27 and 5 p.m April 28. The burglar broke several windows, removed the toilet and knocked down a wall. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
PLANTATION

Beer stolen: A thief stole three cases of Budweiser Ice beer from an Amoco gas station, 9797 W. Broward Blvd., between 11:44 p.m. and midnight April 29.

Cell phone stolen: A thief smashed the driver's window of a 1993 Nissan Maxima parked at ERA Realty, 4325 W. Sunrise Blvd., between 4 and 6 p.m. April 29 and stole a cellular phone valued at $350 and a phone adapter valued at $45.

Bike stolen: A thief stole a bike from a bike rack at the Fashion Mall, 321 N. University Dr., between 9:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. April 29. The bike was valued at $225.
SUNRISE

Car damaged: A thief smashed the driver's window and damaged the ignition of a 1993 Isuzu parked at Sawgrass Mills mall, 12801 W. Sunrise Blvd.

, between 3 and 8 p.m. April 29.

Jewelry stolen: A thief broke into a home in the 2400 block of Northwest 83rd Way between 10 p.m. April 29 and 12:15 a.m. April 30 and stole jewelry from the master bedroom. The items were valued at $1,500.

Plumbing fixtures stolen: A thief broke into a home in the 11800 block of Northwest 29th Place between 9 and 10 a.m. April 30 and stole plumbing fixtures valued at $3,000.
WESTON/BONAVENTURE

Tools stolen: A thief broke into a construction site at 3786 Oakridge Cir. between 2:30 a.m. April 19 and 7 a.m. April 22 and stole tools valued at $285.

Bike stolen: A bike valued at $250 was stolen from a storage room at 16141 Blatt Blvd. between 9 and 10 a.m. April 22.

Plants stolen: A thief broke into Glenn's Greenery, 10900 SW 48th St., between 1 and 7 a.m. April 19 and stole plants valued at $200.
