Appliance theft: A burglar stole appliances from a house in the 15000 block of Southwest 46th Street sometime between May 3 and Monday, police said. A representative for Landstar Homes told police a refrigerator, a range and two microwaves were stolen.
Cellular phone theft: A cellular phone was stolen between 7 and 7:30 a.m. May 4 from an unlocked 1988 Volvo while its owner was shopping at Farm Stores, 1720 S. University Dr. The phone was valued at $150.
Near drowning: A toddler almost drowned May 5 after crawling through security bars and tumbling into a pool at a home in the 7500 block of Dilido Boulevard. The child was taken to Hollywood Memorial Hospital for treatment, police said.
Armed robbery: Two men in ski masks stormed Parkway Discount Beverage, 6331 Miramar Pkwy., about 10:15 p.m. May 5. They held the owner and two customers at gunpoint before escaping with the cash register, police said. The robbers got away with $300.

Home burglary: A burglar pried open a sliding-glass door and stole electronics and firearms from a home in the 18000 block of Northwest 18th Street between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 2. The stolen goods were valued at $900.
Appliances stolen: Police arrested three men on theft charges after stopping a truck loaded with stolen appliances, police said. Officers stopped the driver of a truck about 2:30 a.m. May 3 in the 2300 block of Northwest 184th Terrace. The truck was loaded with two refrigerators and a dishwasher. The same truck was seen empty a short time earlier. The driver and two passengers were arrested after officers determined the items were stolen from homes under construction in Keystone Lakes. A stove was stolen from a house under construction in the same complex May 2, police said.
