8-year-old's death natural, experts say

The death of an 8-year-old boy who died Friday has been ruled a natural death by the Broward medical examiner's office.

The boy was not breathing when rescue workers arrived at his home in the 500 block of Northeast 20th Street about 5:20 p.m., police said.

The boy was taken to Broward General Medical Center where he died about an hour later. Relatives told police the boy was injured in a playground accident on Thursday.

Neither police nor the medical examiner's office would release his name Saturday.
